Question ID: 744981
I am looking to put together an outfit that would most resemble the
outfits worn by the characters Judge Smails and Danny Noonan(from the
movie Caddyshack) on their boating outing. I would assume that their
clothing is yachting clothing. The outfits includes a naval hat with
an anchor on it, a navy blue blazer, and white pants.

A few images can be seen in this link(movie still shots--they are
included in the thumbnails):

I am looking for a web site or retailer that sells such clothing as my
own searches have only turned up more sport oriented/less campy
boating clothing.

Dear brandon570-ga;

Thank you for allowing me to answer your interesting question. What
you are asking about is sometimes referred to as a Yacht Club uniform
or a Commodore?s uniform. There are a few places that sell such
nautical clothing and others that sell various parts of them. One such
place is COMMODOREUNIFORM.COM
http://www.commodoreuniform.com/yachtclubs/yc_jacketblazer.html

The insignia of course is separate depending on the customer?s needs
http://www.commodoreuniform.com/yachtclubs/yc_insignia3.html

Other options include

CAPTAINS QUARTERS
https://www.captainsquartersuniforms.com/yachtclub.html

SMALLWOODS
http://estore.smallwoods.com/browse.cfm

ANTIBES YACHTWEAR
http://www.antibesyachtwear.com/ay_yatwer.html

LIGHTHOUSE UNIFORM COMPANY
http://www.lighthouseuniform.com/psqandyc/yacht_club/mens_uniforms.htm

You can find the caps a bit cheaper perhaps from different sites listed on FROOGLE:

FROOGLE: YACHT CAP
http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=yacht+cap&hl=en&btnG=Search

FROOGLE: YACHT APPAREL
http://froogle.google.com/froogle?hl=en&btnG=Search&q=yacht+apparel

I recommend you purchase the hat at one of these suppliers and white
ascot at any retail outlet. You can them acquire the blazer, white
naval trousers and insignia of your choice from any of the suppliers
mentioned above. This way should save you some money. As it turns out,
even the REAL clothing is a bit campy and you may even be able to find
the blue blazer and pants at a local men?s clothing store and simply
have the insignia applied.

I hope you find that my answer exceeds your expectations. If you have
any questions about my research please post a clarification request
prior to rating the answer. Otherwise I welcome your rating and your
final comments and I look forward to working with you again in the
near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.
