A lot of calendar programs run wav files as a reminder, but I want to have a program start instead. I don't know any programming so please make the reply fairly detailed. Thanks | |

If you are using XP why not just set this up in your task scheduler? All Programs/Accesories/System Tools/Scheduled Tasks (You can move your Scheduled Tasks to your desktop for ease of use) |

http://www.download.com/HalfMoon-Calendar/3000-2124_4-10288318.html?tag=tab_pub This will do the following: This easy-to-use calendar has advanced features such as downloadable skins and languages, drag-and-drop creation of reminders, and the ability to get maps to events. The calendar functions permit you to show a reminder, open a file, or execute a program at a specified date and time. You can use recurring events to do something repeatedly--for example, play an MP3 every weekday morning as an alarm clock. Reminders can be created by clicking a date or by dragging and dropping text or files onto a day. HalfMoon skins permit customizing the appearance and functionality of the calendar. |

If you want to use your specific program that runs .wav file. I have a solution only and only if that program opens your default windows .wav program such as winamp. if it opens its own sound program, it wouldn't work. Let me know if you want my answer. |
