I am need help finding some software (freeware preferred but shareware/payware are OK). I need this software to automatically process a Windows directory that has several gig's worth of files, and split them into target directories of specified size, to make burning to 4.7 gig DVDRs easier. Here's an example of what I need. This software claims to do what I need, but it doesn't work very well, plus it only creates directories that are CDR sized. http://www.download.com/Directory-Splitter/3000-2248_4-10438757.html?tag=lst-0-1 I need help finding a similiar software tool or package, that's a little more robust than the above freeware app. | |

Nero BackIt Up seems to answer this. I can process to CD DVD or DL DVD. It is part of Nero 6 or better and comes packaged with many DVD drives. You can get a working 30 day trial of Nero 7 here http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-demo.php |

Dear Astrolab. The Nero Back It Up does just what you requested in your clarification at 11:57. My comment was at 10:24. Have you downloaded the trial to see if Nero meets your needs? |

Yes - Nero 7's BackItUp appears to do the trick. I am running a test right now and it seems to do what I needed. Go ahead and officially answer this question canadianhelper-ga for credit. |

Hello Astrolab... I am not a Google Answer Researcher, I am a commentor and thus FREE...I just help out where I can. You can close off the question and I believe Google will take $.50 of your proposed fee ... use the rest to buy the full version of Nero! Glad I could help. |
