My 5 year old daughter was just booked for an acting job (an industrial/educational film) for Cisco Systems in San Jose. It is a non-union industrial shoot and she was chosen for an acting non-speaking role. Can you tell me what the going pay rates are for something like this? I went to www.sag.org but those are only union pay rates. |

Non-union acting rates vary from nothing (even for otherwise professionally run gigs) to just a little under union rates. There really are no accurate guidelines to give. Kriswrite |

A friend of mine appeared in a small speaking role in a training film for a large corporation. My friend was paid $50 for a day's work (most of which was standing around doing nothing). Got a free lunch, too. Whatever the pay rate is, it's unlikely that you'll be able to negotiate the terms, so I suggest that you simply ask the person or agency that arranged the booking. |
