I need a complete assesment for the hair loss market on the internet.
This must consist of these 4 factors, 1. The amount of people buying hair
loss products online and what percentage of them are men and how many
women? Financially how big is the hair loss market globally? The
average price in U.S.D spent on hair loss products on the internet
anually? Please include a detailed report. Thank you.

Dear Gurri,

Could you please define what you mean by "health loss" products?
Dermatological drugs? Shampoos? Meditation that is supposed to reduce
hair-loss? Books on methods to reduce or prevent hair loss? As you can
imagine, all could be counted as "hair loss" products, yet do not
belong to the same groups analysed in market analysis.

Hello, What I intend for in this is anything applicable to the scalp
(serum, oil, lotion, Shampoo) or anything consumable for hair loss
(Propecia, etc). Even Transplants and taupes. Please feel free to ask
for any more clarifications. Thank You. Gurri.

Hi Gurri,

I believe it is impossible to get a complete answer to your question
from this forum or any other forum, for that matter.

I do have some news for you. There are market research companies like

]

which have the resources and access to the information because the
companies that make the products are on their side. If you want a
really serious and correct analysis of the market, you must approach
some of these companies and contract them to do a study for you.

My foray into searches for the informaiton you need led me to many
very general analyses of such market trends. I am sure that general
information such as this quote from

------- quote -------
Many research studies are being conducted in areas such as gene
therapy, new compounds, and even follicle transplant. There has also
been an increased interest in alternative medicine, such as the use of
traditional medication, supplements and lotions for the treatment of
hair loss. Although most of these products do not have scientific
merit, they are aggressively advertised on television, medical web
sites, and health magazines targeting those who are desperate for
instant results. Other prime targets for these alternative medications
are women who do not approve of the current medications for use, due
to their side effects. Recently the FDA, which has been alerted about
these hair-growth claims displayed on the Internet, is considering
methods of protecting consumers against false claims, without
violating the right to freedom of speech or expression.

Based on these facts, the market potential for hair-loss treatments is
huge. While baldness may, or may not be perceived as attractive, the
hair-loss treatments market is a very lucrative and challenging sector
for the pharmaceutical industry.

Please let me know what you think of this. Maybe this is the only
realistic though incomplete / inappropriate 'answer' to your question!
If you find my approach is okay, I will post this as an answer to your
question.
