i saw a tv documentry about 3 young men in a 23ft fiberglass cabin
boat with two 50hp outboard motors and a small tanker that went along
with them for refulling and repairs. the boat was only 23ft long and
the motors were probley 1956-1958 evenrude or johnsons, becouls they
only made them for 3 years and they were white. so the trip must have
been around 1960 or so. they left Portugal or the Azorzes on a trip
to New York. they had to be takin aboard the tanker once for repares.
im not dreeming this, it was on tv and i would like to get a copy of
the show. the boat might have been a "bellboy" or a "wizered" boat,
but it was a cabin boat with 2 outboard motors, not a sale boat.
well thats it. i called the Portugal conslet in San Francisco and no
good there. I KNOW I SAW IT AND IT IS, HOPFULLY, OUT THERE SOME
WARE. charlie
