I am a Massachusetts resident and I got a speeding ticket (83 mph in a 55 mph zone) in New York. I want to know: (1) Will the New York DMV (or whoever is responsible) report the ticket to Massachusetts? (2) If NY does report to Mass, what will Mass do with it? That is, how many points will that put on my Massachusetts license? |

Now im not completley sure here because MA is so distanced from the rest of the auto-insurance companies they might never find out its 6 to 8 points on your license here is detailed information on the NY violations and appeals system and ticket information in general http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/broch/c49.htm http://www.redlichlaw.com/traffic/faq.html and these places offers some sortof way to get rid of your ticket http://www.notspeeding.com/ http://www.speedingticketny.com/ |

I did find out for a fact that MA does not recognize some of NY's policies like the in-transit permit. |
