Quote on American Faith (Presidential?) Category: Reference, Education and News > General Reference Asked by: jackvox-ga List Price: $5.00 | Posted:

| There is a famous quote that goes something like "America is a nation of faith, but not any particular kind of faith". The quote might be in reference to American's wanting a President with faith. I could have sworn this is a quote from President Eisenhower, but I still haven't found it. I am pretty sure it is early to mid-20th century. I am looking for the full quote and (of course) the person who said it. Thanks! | |

| That sounds like something Eisenhower could have said, who added "In God we trust" to US currency. |
