I'm trying to find the title of a hip hop / r'n' b song, which I keep
hearing but cannot tell. I'm going to TRY to describe it but please
forgive since it's after all, a verbal description of music.

The chorus is 3 notes, in descending fashion. It's something like note
1, note 1; note 2 note 2; note 3 note 3, then a long note at the end.
The lyrics for the chorus sound vaguely like "trumpet trumpet trumpet,
take me out!" or sth like that. The chorus repeats twice, the first
time ending with "are you ready???", then the 3 note melody is
repeated.

I have no idea who can figure this out but my eternal gratitude is
yours if you let me know. Thanks much.

goldust2002sg,

I listened to the song referenced by tbster2001 below. That HAS TO BE
IT. It fits your description perfectly, notes and lyrics both. Listen
at the link and just WAIT for the second song to start.

GREAT GOING tbster2001!!! I'm very impressed.

It's probably Daddy Yankee's "Rompe".
You can hear it at his website: http://www.daddyyankee.com/
It's the second song.
Cheers!
