I purchased a Travel trailer from an elderly gentlemen in October 2005. At the time i felt he was trustworthy and honest. He assured me that once i paid him the payoff for the trailer that he would forward me the title etc. He did give me a bill of sale with the serial number etc. on it. After being paid off he forwarded me the Security lien release from Maryland which is where he lived and had it titled through. I live in Pa and the Trailer was purchased in DE where it remains on a year round campground. He has since moved to Texas and after many attempts verbally and in writing to get him to send the Title, i still have not received it. He claims he must have "lost it". I requested for him to contact MD DMV for a duplicate and he will not oblige. I even sent him a check to cover the cost. Now he won't return phone calls or registered mail. How can i obtain a title for this trailer? I'd like to have it considering i may want to sell it one day. Again he lived in MD and that is where it is titled. The camper is in Delaware and i live in PA. I need to find out how to obtain a title to the trailer i purchased. He did not cooperate with trying to obtain the duplicate from MD. |
