Examples of pledge-based special events would be The Sport Relief Mile

I have been searching for an answer to your question for a couple of
day now but I could not find anywhere a list of the top 50 charitable
events in the UK.
What I could find is a pubblication that claims to contain a
comprehensive listing of all major charitable events in the UK. The
subscrition to this pubblication would be 25 British Punds for one
year but you will have to get the pubblication and hopefully identify
the biggest events.
Once you get the event and the organizer from the publication I have a
way for you to quicky get contacts details
