Around the year 1994 I appeared in a T.V. based out of Los Angeles
local CBS station. I have lost the recordings of the 2 shows I
appeared in. I need help on finding the shows I appeared in. The
information I know is that I appeared on the last season the show
"kidquiz". The school I was competing for was Harrison Elementary.
Here is a helpful link that talks about the show.

You can help me in two ways; one would be directing me to the right
place to get the tapings or secondly getting the recordings for me. If
you do get the actual recordings I would reward you an extra $100.00

Hi jeorge,

I have found some links for you on the KCBS website.

Here is the general link for those wanting videos:

http://cbs2.com/contact/local_story_172133956.html

Here is the link to MultiVision's online request form:

https://system.netsuite.com/app/site/crm/externalleadpage.nl?compid=352981&formid=6&h=c4e3240cb5cf292e12a9&custentity_referralpartner=KCBS

I would assume that KCBS would be more likely to have the videotape
than MultiVision would-- it seems to be more for news broadcasts.
MultiVision should definitely be able to tell you. Their phone number
is 800.560.0111.

The email form for the station itself is here:

http://cbs2.com/contact

I already emailed them to see if they would send me any info on how to
find this recording specifically. If they email me back, I'll post a
clarification here for you.

If you need any additional help or clarifications, let me know and
I'll be glad to help.

Cheers,
-keystroke-ga

I was able to contact CBS archieves. They informed that when cbs2
merged with kcal9 they destroyed many of there archieves in order to
make more room. At this point I am out of ideas. I cant possibly
think of any other organization that would have such recordings.

Hmm, that is unfortunate. That is extremely rare, I would think, to
actually destroy archives! Hmm. The best solution I could think of
would be to contact someone at your old elementary school (a
librarian, perhaps) or someone who would be in an administrative
position at that time (even someone who is now retired if you can) who
may have recorded it. Did you compete as an individual or did you
compete as a team? If there was a team involved, I'm sure parents of
the other kids (or the kids themselves) would have the tape. You could
send a letter to their families.

Did the CBS archives specifically tell you that they didn't have that
show, or did they say that they weren't sure? I'd have them look for
it again and make sure that they didn't have it before I'd give up at
the archives. I'm really surprised that they would destroy the
archives and not even donate them to a university or something of that
ilk.

Good luck! If I think of any more ideas I'll respond here.
