Question ID: 747712
is there software that allows me to answer my land line telephone by
using the voice/data modem that i have connected to my pc? I use
broadband for the internet, but i have the modem mainly to send faxes.
I was thinking that i could somehow use the modem and some software to
answer incoming calls aswell?

Greetings,
What do you want to be able to do with the calls when you answer them?
Do you want them to go directly to voicemail? To be able to talk
with them via a headset through your computer? Go to a voice menu?
Redirect to your phone line?

There are a number of different options available but the right one
depends on your needs.

Best,
