I would like to know the size of the stock brokerage industry in the
US.  Please quote the number in dollars of commission per year or some
comparable metric.  More recent numbers are more useful, and anything
before about 2001 does not help me.  If in your searches you come
across a more comprehensive security industry brokerage market size number,
please include it in your answer.  Thanks.
