I deleted some home improvement picture files. I am running Kodak software for my digital camera and it has renamed all the jpeg etc files to associate with its software for viewing. When I try to recover the recovery software states it does not recognize file format. How do I get it to Disassociate so I can recover then reassociate the files with kodak so it will recognize? Also, none of the softwares I try to use will save to the drive it is searching. I only have a CDRW drive in addition but the seem to not like that. Any suggestions? |

Well from what I do know. You can not save on a cdrw drive the way you are doing it. For example you can't say file>save>cdrw. What you need to do is save it to your desktop or somewhere. Then open up your cd burning software, create a data cd and drag your images into there. Then click burn and it should work. |

Another thing you can do is try changing the files back to jpeg format. It's really easy. Click once on the icon, and then change the suffix. For example, my software was doing what with Micrsoft publisher. It was changing my jpegs to mpb or something like that. So all I did was remove the mpb and just put in jpeg after the dot. So it would look like Image.jpeg instead of Image.mpb , Once I did that even the icon change into normal pic vieweing icon. I hope my experiances have helped you in some way. |

Try this: you can click on an icon with the right button of the mouse and select the option "open with...". You must select the program you want to open this kind of files from the list. Bye. |
