94,819 general health clinics

?According to a 2002 survey by the Ministry of Health, Labour and
Welfare, there are 9,187 hospitals, 94,819 general health clinics, and
65,073 dental clinics in Japan. When hospitals and general clinics are
combined, there are 1.84 million beds. The number of doctors in Japan
is approximately 263,000, or 195.8 doctors for every 100,000 people,
and the number of dentists is 92,900, or 71.0 per 100,000 people.
These statistics regarding the nation's well-equipped medical
facilities and the number of doctors place Japan on par with the
countries of northern Europe in terms of total medical service
capacity.?
