I'm looking for a binary copy of Qt 3.1.2 for windows which is a GUI
toolkit.  I found a copy of version 3.1.0 near here
http://kde-cygwin.sourceforge.net/qt3-win32/index.php but I need
specifically version 3.1.2.  Its an opensource/free toolkit and was
released around 2003, so it seems like it should be lurking around
somewhere.  The source would be ok, but binary definitely prefered.

Going to the source at Trolltech seems to do the trick. This page
is a good place to find what you need, depending on the OS you want
it for. The page has links for Windows, X11, and Mac:

That leads to the their FTP site, which lists version 3.1.2 files:
ftp://ftp.trolltech.com/qt/source/

One is the patch for the x11 version"
ftp://ftp.trolltech.com/qt/source/patch-qt-x11-free-3.1.2

...which must be applied to an installation of 3.1.1, per this page:

Then there's the embedded version:
ftp://ftp.trolltech.com/qt/source/qt-embedded-free-3.1.2.tar.gz

I don't see a version 3.1.2 for Windows.

It seems to me you should be able to find what you're looking for
there, but I won't post this as a formal answer until you confirm
your satisfaction.

Hi, unfortunately, the x11 release is for unix/linux based systems (as
far as I know), so this will not work.  Most windows releases appear
to be called qt-win or something similar.

All the Windows versions seem to be available on the FTP site.
Could you be mistaken in believing that the 3.1.2 version is
a Windows version? Where is it that you saw the 3.1.2 version
referenced as a Windows version?
