Dear phyl278-ga Thank you for allowing me to answer your interesting question. The music and lyrics to the song ?At Your Best (You Are Love)? were both written and first recorded by The Isley Brothers in 1976. The original version of this song appears on the The Isley Brothers album ?Forever Gold?. Aaliyah recorded the song to her album ?Age Ain't Nothing but a Number? on May 24, 1994 and following her Ronnie Laws recorded it again with not much notice in 1998. If that's the song, according to ASCAP it was written and performed originally by the Isley Brothers. It's on their album "Love Songs"; you can check out the clip on Amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000056O02/sr=8-5/qid=1153539244/ref=pd_bbs_5/002-6816983-1180038?ie=UTF8 |
