Unemployment benefits -- I have been unemployed for about six months and nearly exhausted my 'unemployment benefit'.I am thinking to go back to school for related training to pursue a graduate degree (Master /equivalent or higher). Could I extend the benefit with or without this education-plan? (Price: $3.00) |

You can contact your state's unemployment insurance agency to see whether extended benefits are currently available. Here's a brief description of extended benefits: http://ows.doleta.gov/unemploy/extenben.asp If you are in school and are not available to accept a full-time job, you will probably be found ineligible for unemployment benefits. Unemployment insurance was designed as a stopgap measure for people who are attached to the labor market and seeking work. |
