Mongolia, Thank you for accepting the material I gathered on this interesting subject. I confess that I had wondered the same thing in the past, so I was forearmed with links that I found on an earlier occasion. It is my expectation that eventually all the research that I've done to satisfy my own quirky curiosity will come in handy on GA. The absence of green stars is well explained here: MadSci Network: Why are there no green stars? http://www.madsci.org/posts/archives/may97/859923240.As.r.html And here (scroll about halfway down the page): Association of Falkirk Astronomers: Why are there no Green Stars? http://www.sandyloan.f2s.com/2001_bbq.htm There's an abundance of detail about stars' colors here (do a search within the file for the word "green"): Nightscapes: The Colors of the Stars http://www.nightscapes.net/techniques/TechnicalPapers/StarColors.pdf Regarding the matter of pink stars, I do not consider myself to be a star, but when I look at myself in the mirror, I see signs of gravitational collapse, and I often take antacid preparations because of my gaseous core, so it may be that I am headed toward stardom. ;-) Best, Pink |

But Pink, we consider you a star! Pink' stars just happen to all be a nice shade of purple, and come in clusters, usually five at time. Sorry, Paf, I know the feeling. Cheers, Myo |

There-there, pafalafa. The only reason nobody got the joke... is that we all think Shrek is a has-been. Maybe you should o' tried the Hulk. |

>> ...we all think Shrek is a has-been. I can see it now: the next Shrek movie. In an effort to emulate the success of "Brokeback Mountain," the filmmakers have decided that Shrek will reluctantly confess to Fiona that he is gay. The title of the film: OGRE & OUT. |

...And Fiona will 'fess up that she knew it all along, but never mentioned it 'cause she only married Shrek to be close to Donkey. I think they should cash in with a lesbian version of Brokeback Mtn. I just wonder what they'd do as an equivalent to the... uh... "back-door" scene. :) |
