I am strongly considering these two cars.  I would buy the m35x
loaded, and the BMW with just navigation and cold weather package and
satellite radio.  I would like a comparison of these two cars.  I
would like performance included: acceleration, braking, and lateral
skidpad figures.  I would like links to any and all comparison tests
from reputable sources and from consumer discussion groups.  I would
like a comparison of specs and true market prices (I would get the BMW
via european delivery - helps its price).  I would like an assessment
of insurance costs, reliability and resale values, and safety
information from official tests.  I would also like an assessment of
maintenance costs.  I would be doing 2007 models.  I would like this
to be a complete assessment, and finally with a recommendation on
which one to get.  Snob appeal is not relevant but can be assessed as
well.  I would drive the car for 12,000 miles per year for 4-5 years. 
I would be doing an outright purchase.
