Question ID: 748894
I am current VZW customer. I have smartphone (samsung i600). I
now require Blackberry service due to work requirements. My company supports a
Blackberry Enterprise server.

However, I would like to purchase a new Smartphone/Pocket PC or other PDA that
functions with Blackberry Connect. This allows the functionality and
applications of PDA along with push e-mail of Blackberry. Unfortunately, I do
not believe that VZW or T-mobile (I can use them as well) currently
supports a PDA phone with Blackberry Connect in the US.

I understand that although the US carriers will not officially offer
or support blackberry connect functionality, it may be possible to
purchase a PDA device, load Blackberry Connect and provide the
necessary information (PIN) to the service provider to recognize the
device and provide e-mail functionality pushed from my corporate
Blackberry enterprise server.

Can someone assist me in identifying a PDA device in USA as well as
the instructions to load Blackberry Connect? I prefer a Windows
operating system if possible. If not Palm may suffice.

Can you then help identify the steps and services that I must
subscribe to with either VZW or T-Mobile to get it to function. I
realize that it will not be officially supported, but it should work.

BTW - I will not purchase a Blackberry device as they are too limited in memory
expansion and other applications that I use on my smartphone.
