Question ID: 748926
Is there any technology now or soon to be publicly available for
immersive, interactive video that can operate online in mainstream
applications such as Flash, Java, QTVR, etc. For example, Videowarp
(which is not released yet) promises 360 panning and traveling within
video. "The New Arrival" is a short film with a similar experience.
Of course MS has something planned with those cameras they drove
around. Ideal would be something that is also interactive/dynamic,
with links to extra content. If not, is there a video conferencing
hardware/software that could theoretically be adapted/scripted for
such purposes. If still not, could you say something about the main
crux of this innovation?
Thank you.
