I would like to make a database backed website (php/mysql) with
hebrew, but I want to be able to have sentences with english and
hebrew in the same sentence. My Microsoft word has hebrew, but it is
really very hard to know where you are, so that after writing some
hebrew you don't know if you're at the beginning of the word or the
end. Dagesh, which I saw but don't have seems MUCH better. But a) I
don't want to spend alot of money, and b) I don't know if that is
easily transferred to html, as word does. What should I do, is there a
tutorial or a cheap/free program which would help? I also what to make
many charts on the site, but this is the prioirty. Thanks!

Yes. It is defnintely difficult to type in Hebrew and English in the
same sentence. What I usually do is insert a few underscores where I
know I should put Hebrew. Then I highlight the underscores and type in
the Hebrew once I'm done.

Of course... this doesn't solve editting problems. Make use of the
home and end keys when possible; they will move you to the beginning
or end of the line respectively. That way, if you're trying to work
with Hebrew at the beginning or end of the line, you'll know where you
are on the Hebrew.

Another trick is to click with your mouse at the beginning (or end) of
a word. Then press the shift key and at the same time the right or
left arrow. Judging by the direction that the highlighted portion
moves, you can tell what part of the word you're on, and in which
direction the flashing bar moves with the arrows (because it LOVES to
go in the opposite direction of what you want it to do).
