Question ID: 749339
What episode of the TV show Star Trek would have been playing for the first time
on Wednesday, October 9, 1996 in Lawrence, Kansas? Our daughter was
born that day and we always watched Star Trek on Wednesdays, but as
you can imagine, we don't recall what episode that is and would like
to rewatch it with our daughter. I think we slept through this one!

It?s hard to say for certain which episode was playing on a given date
in a specific area because network lineups vary. What we do know is
that the Star Trek Voyager episode "Remember" (Season 3, Episode 6)
aired for the first time on October 9, 1996 in many, if not most,
viewer markets that carried the current series at that time.

Does that satisfy your question in lieu of better information?

As the previous poster has stated it would be almost impossible to say
for certain (which channel are you talking about?)

I would feel that a quick call to the customer service team, of the TV
station you would have been watching at that time, maybe able to give
you the information you need.

If it is any help the following episodes were first shown on American
TV around this date, taken from the following page

To further crystalize the comments, it may be worth realizing that
there were two Star Trek series in production at the time in question:
"Star Trek: Voyager" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine."

IIRC, "Star Trek: Voyager" aired on the then-nascent UPN network and
had a regular time slot in all markets carrying UPN. "Star Trek: Deep
Space Nine" on the other hand, aired in syndication, on different
stations at different time slots.

That said, there are plenty of references to confirm that "Star Trek:
Voyager"'s "Remember" first aired on October 9, 1996, so while I can't
say for certain, my gut feeling is that that's the episode you're
looking for.

You say that you used to watch Star Trek episodes regularly on
Wednesdays. Even if you can't remember this particular episode, can
you remember anything about the episodes in the series that you may
have watched previously? Any characters? Any settings (like...was it
on a space ship or on a space station)? If we can confirm which series
you were watching, it'd be pretty easy to figure out which episode's
the one you're looking for...
