What I meant was a manufactured/trailer home. Sorry about the confusion.

Howdy kacamgp-ga,

The comment below by tutuzdad-ga is absolutely correct.
http://www.ibts.org/faq_consumer.htm

"All transportable sections of manufactured homes built in the U.S. after
June 15, 1976 contain a Certification Label and a Data Plate."

The above page contains information on the various locations of identifying
information, such as the Certification Label, with links to specifics.
http://www.ibts.org/certification_label.htm

"The Certification Label is permanently affixed to the exterior of each
transportable section. The label is located one foot (1') up and away from
the left rear corner (facing forward; the tow bar end indicates the front
of the section)."

You should read the information on the various pages of the above web site
for other indentifers that might be located in certain places of the home.

I was hoping for a possible stamping/engraving of some-sort on my
home, to find the serial number, since it is a 1973, I have found
nothing as to where one might be.

Howdy kacamgp-ga,

If there is no "Certification Label" or "Data Plate" then the only other
place on the home to check is as follows.
http://www.ibts.org/faq_consumer.htm

"Q: How Do I Locate the Serial Number?

A: This number is stamped into the front steel cross-member of the home
chassis by the manufacturer, and is different from the HUD certification
label. The home's skirting may need to be removed to allow access to this
serial number. Include ALL the letters and numbers of the serial number
in your request."

If you scroll to the very bottom of the above web page, they have an
illustration of the location of the "Serial Number" and a procedure on
what to with it, etc.

Not all mobile homes had VIN plates in 1973. The number should be on
the title though.
