Hi there,
You need to make your website more search engine spider friendly. When
the spider from Google, Altavista etc visits your site, at present
they won't find anything.
As beautiful as your site is, as far as a search engine spider is
concerned, it contains zero content. Search engines cannot read the
text within an image.
This is what I would do to get indexed by search engines:
- Include a META description tag on each page.
- Get rid of the pop-up that appears when someone goes to
http://www.sanjuans.tv/ - put all the content of home.html into a file
called index.html. If the size of the page is important, use
javascript that changes the size of the current page.
MAKESHIFT FIX
-------------
- On the index page, give an option of viewing a text only version of
the site. Most folk will ignore it, but the search engines will follow
the links and index the plain text content.
- On each plain text page, offer a big link to the pretty version of
the site.
BEST FIX
--------
- Redesign the entire site by replacing all the text images with plain
text. By using CSS and layers it is possible to make it look exactly
the same as it currently does.
Submit your website to search engines each time you make changes to
your site. Remember it can take a month or two for search engines to
pick up on any changes you make.
Any time you submit a website to search engines, use this tool at
Search Engine World to see what the spider sees:
