ON THE NAMING BY CATS I call my cats by various monikers, Many of which are silly: I call them "Pussipoo Pet" and "Pawlickers," "Nittycat Nibblers," and "Dilly." I call them "Schmookums" and "Doodle" and "Rumpers," I call them "Pigpuss" and "Kat Kahuna" And "Cattywumpus" and "Thunderbumpers." Do they answer? Yes, if I'm serving tuna. My dog spies report on the cattish plans And the lack of a flattering cognomen: The cats call me "She Who Opens Cans" Or "That Foolish Here-Kitty Woman." I know what they mean when they mutter "Meow": That's "Gimme the Num-Nums, Honey." They call me "The Forker-Over of Chow," And "Lady Whose Breath Smells Funny." I know they love me, but feline affection Is based on caloric needs: Their deepest love is that food connection, And I am "The One Who Feeds." ============================================= Best wishes from Pink --and from Nermal http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Nermal_in_Bag.jpg PittyPat http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/MissPittyPat.jpg Felix http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Felix.jpg Pearl http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Pearl.jpg Cyndi http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Cyndi_computer.jpg Ivan http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Ivan_the_Purrible.jpg Runty http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Runtycat.jpg Susie http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Susie.jpg Zimmie Brownie Sloopy http://www.mortalwombat.com/Special/Pets/Zimmie_Brownie_Sloopy.jpg |

Now I don't have a cat but I did have one once. I suspect that she called me 'That Person' in a very condescending and resentful manner. |

There usually aren't too many prison wardens, so I suspect Kemlo is assuming "any number" will have only two digits. As to my parents' Persian cat, he used to carry on conversations with Dad and no doubt had a name for him, rather what Livioflores has suggested, I imagine. |

I expect my cats call me "the fat furry one that feeds us" to differentiate from my wife, "the hairless one that feeds us." The irony is I am bald and she has long hair. I would think cats would overlook such minor affectations to notice the overall effect. We may also be known as "the warm one" and "the warmer one." |

Thanks for the five stars and the tip, TS. I shall use it to buy cat treats, of course. ;-) ~Pink |
