Oulook Express: 200+ million users
Email: 400+ million users
The figures I am citing are estimates - what people use on their
computers is private. Sending email is a free activity without any
singular business running it, so all I can do is divide the estimated
number of internet users by the percent that probably use it for
email.
Microsoft's estimate of 200 million Outlook Express users is from over
a year ago, so I would expect the figure to be much higher now,
considering how much it had risen since March 2000.
