Since I am NOT an administrator of a work computer. Is there a way to install software to a zip drive or DVD without having to install any files to the registry? I would like to be able to use a product like photoshop, etc...but have it installed to my zip drive. If that is not an option. Is there any way to make a stand alone application work off a DVD? Have the application and all pertinent files on a DVD where this would work from the DVD , just like it was installed on the main drive? | |

To add to the above, there are also Linux "Live" cds which are essentially complete operating systems that boot and run off of a DVD, with no interaction with the hard drive. The problem with that is that you can't SAVE anything to the hard drive with such a setup. My best recommendation would be to buy one of the IT guys at your office a beer after work and try to talk him into loading PShop on your machine. |
