Disaster avoidance planning has been described as the steps involved to prevent a complete site disaster. Business continuity planning has been described as the processes and procedures a company puts in place so that mission-critical functions can continue during and after a disaster. Do you feel that there is a marked difference in these two activities? Which aspects of these should a company concentrate its budget on in light of the potential affects on personnel, IT infrastructure, and business transactions? Be sure to address both of the above questions in your response |

Two bucks? here's what I'd tell you for 2 bucks - I have never heard of Disaster Avoidance planning. You cannot plan to avoid a disaster, typically disasters refer to flood, fire, earthquake, etc. Business Continuity planning or Disaster Recovery is a legitimate process governed by a large volume of best practice standards. |
