I would like to know the market size for customized laser inscriptions
on diamonds. I am NOT referring to identification parameters
(certification) on the diamond but customization such as the couple's
name, a heart logo, message, etc., on the stone. This is typically
inscribed on the girdle or on the table of the diamond.
The information I would like to receive is:
- Market size for 2006 and during the last 5 years. Market size =
Revenue per year + number of inscriptions.
- The diamonds type that received this service (4Cs). I want to have
the distribution for this year and during the last five years.
- Distribution of stores or gem laboratories for this customized
service. I would like to have the distribution among all these
entities per diamond volume and revenue (please provide also the name
of all the stores + laboratories that provide this customization
service).

The probability of getting current year market reports are extremely
remote. Even if this information is collected by some consultant or
market research company, it would only be available to customers who
are willing to pay a high price. Please tell me why you believe this
information might be available? Can you provide any other leads for
how to search for the information you need. Have you already done
preliminary research on your own? What were your findings?

Have you already done preliminary research on your own? What were your findings?
I know that not all gemological labs charge for this service. Some may
just make it "for free" if the customer pays for the certification
service. This is why I want to have the market size both in term of
volume and revenue. I am willing to pay for this question if you have
either of this market figure (the volume is more important, with the
diamonds characteristics distribution).
