Hello rbischoff,

What is the file format extension? I am assuming premiere pro 2.0? Is
it a .prproj file?

Am I correct in assuming that it has audio and video and you are
looking to extract the audio only?

Please let me know,

Does it have to be an mp3? Would you be OK rendering the video first
and then extracting the audio?

The Premiere software itself can do such a job:
File>Export>Soundtrack
or press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+M

OK. This is easy.. if you know how.

First download a music editor, a good one to use would be goldwave. <
http://www.goldwave.com > Goldwave is very powerfull, and is
shareware.

You will find that after installing goldwave you will need to install
the mp3 codec's, the goldwave website has full instructions for this.

Next, run goldwave, select new file, and select options such as the
length (in time) the file should be, the quality (in sample rate)I
would suggest for a cd quality soundfile that you use 44,000.

Now if you goto the recording options, I dont remember where to find
this of the top of my head, but i think there is a little box to the
left of the red record button, (somrthing like that). You will need to
select recording device 'wave'. This will record from the
what-you-hear part of your soundcard.

Now all you need to do is hit record, and then play your file.
Obviosly this will record any sounds the pc makes, inlcuding the click
noises when you select things with the mouse ect, you can turn these
off or simply edit any unwanted noises out from within the goldwave
editor.

After recording is finished you should see the soundwave on the
screen, you can edit it, add effects, or enhance parts of the
soundwave. You can now simply select save as, and save you mp3!

Hope this helps you, any problems gave me a shout.

Kind Regards

RicoPico
