I would like assistance in calibrating the picture/colour settings on a plasma television. The unit which I've purchased is the Panasonic TH-50PX600U. The display settings 'out of the box' don't produce very realistic colours (which I've read is normal for Panasonic plasmas - they do need calibration) although once correctly calibrated I'm told that the quality and realism is unmatched. I have found recommended settings for the brother of the TH-50PX600U, which is the TH-50PX60U. The recommended adjustments for this unit are summarized in this articel: http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/plasmatvreviews/panasonic-th50px60u-review.html I had intended to use these settings to calibrate the TH-50PX600U but the picture setting options are different so its not possible to directly translate the settngs from the TH-50PX60U to the TH-50PX600U. MY QUESTION is therefore what are the recommended settings for the TH-50PX600U. I'm not looking for a personal preference, I'm looking for suggested settings which have been determined using calibration equipment and software, and which result in a colour temperature as close as possible to D6500 (see the above article). Many thanks... |
