I want to buy *online* either from a USA or Europe supplier some very
high-quality lobster eating implements I used on vacation. The brand
name is "Piazza", the cracker is of very solid stainless steel, and it
is from Italy. It is NOT "Dalla Piazza", a common brand in the USA. I
was at Cap Est Resort in Martinique, but they didn't have the answer
for me.

This is not really a clarification request - I just wanted to say that
I explored the www.cissrl.it site and it has a LOT of things that are
hard to find that I have been wanting - for example the industrial
sized (and quality) rolls of cling film. So I am glad I tipped you. It
was worth it! NAd it was a great intro to Google Answers

Thanks for the kind words and the generous tip! We do aim to please!
I'm also glad that you found more things from the site I referred you
to. We are always at your service, night and day!

That was outstanding! That is indeed what I was looking for.

Has anyone here discovered a method for cracking the claw shells of a
Maine lobster weighing 2.5 lbs or more?

I bought one at WalMart the other day and, as usual, had one helluva
time hammering open the claws without driving claw shards into the
meat. When ordering a hard-shell lobster of this size and age in a
restaurant, I always ask the waiter to have it cracked open in the
kitchen, as the tool similar to a walnut cracker that accompanies the
service just isn't up to the task. My question: What do you suppose
they use in the kitchen to crack the behemoth's claws without
decimating them? I envision something akin to a work-bench vise that
can produce a steady and heavy pressure. Or maybe a very heavy wooden
mallet with the lobster on a solid chopping block? Anybody know?
