Hi Officer, Im webmaster of LavaCards.com im a 123greetings.com affiliate/associate using their associate e-cards program for my site. 123greetings has given me the URL and it looks like: http://cards.123greetings.com/cgi-bin/cards/sendcard.pl?log=orangefly where log=orangefly is my affiliate id. now i want my site to look like this: http://cards.lavacards.com/cgi-bin/cards/sendcard.pl?log=orangefly remember! i want to replace "cards.123greetings.com" with "cards.lavacards.com" how can i do this??? here is the live example of another website (ecard4all.com) doing the same! http://cards.ecard4all.com/cgi-bin/newcards/showthumbs.pl?q1=birth_wishes&log=ecard4u Well, i will explain this issue 2 u in 4-5 simple lines. Suppose im the webmaster of ecard4all.com now i have partnered with 123greetings.com to show their ecards on my site. 123greetings.com has given me the following code from which my visitor can send ecards. This code has a "log=" string at the end which is related to my site and login id. here is the URL: http://cards.123greetings.com/cgi-bin/cards/passover.pl?log=ecard4u (now you visit this page. this is the page of ecard4all.com site. Well, you can find links, and every link starts with http://cards.123greetings.com/................. THIS MEANS THAT THE PAGES ARE ACCESSED & HOSTED FROM 123GREETINGS SERVER) Now, you can also access this page using following URL: http://cards.ecard4all.com/cgi-bin/cards/passover.pl?log=ecard4u (now you visit this page. This is the same page of 123greetings which is hosted on 123greetings but accessed through cards.ecard4all.com. Every link on this page will lead to http://cards.ecard4all.com/...................) MY QUESTION as a webmaster of ecard4all.com is, how did i changed the above thing that is cards.123greetings.com to cards.ecard4all.com in the links on the ecards pages! so that ecards can be accessed through http://cards.ecard4all.com/cgi-bin/cards/passover.pl?log=ecard4u i hope this issue is cleared to you. so please give your valueable suggestion on this. NOTE: Im wanting to keep cards.lavacards.com in the address bar to make it more like the service was on the same site rather than running on a different site... it would need to be more of a rewrite than a redirect... Someone familiar to cName setting shud give the answer. thanks for your interest in this issue. i need your help. Regards, |
