Does sellerbox.com appear to be a legitimate company?

There is some suggestion that a properly incorporated company may be
behind Sellerbox.com. However, in my view, there is a lack of openness
which is sufficient for me to be very wary of the site. I have not
looked at whether the scheme would work and its pitfalls.

There is no contact information supplied on the site: no name, no
address, no telephone number, no company details. It?s not until you
drill down into the site does one find on the User Agreement page a
reference to a Hong Kong company:  Sellerbox.com Corporation Limited.

?This User Agreement (?Agreement?) is a contract between you (either
an individual person or a single legal entity) and Sellerbox.com
Corporation Limited (?Sellerbox.com), a Hong Kong Corporation.?

A search of the Hong Kong corporations database shows this is a live
registered company incorporated in 2003. Use the link below to obtain
further information.

As indicated below, the domain name registration is in a different
name, address and country. The current record was created: 07-Dec-2005

not mean there was not one in the registrant?s name.

The User Agreement page also states that,
?Sellerbox.com is a trademark belonging to Sellerbox.com Corporation Limited.?
I could find such trademark registration with the US or Hong Kong
Trademark databases.

Below is the information from allwhois.com.
Since the website was set up just in June this year and expires in
November 2007, not much can be said about the company.  The site looks
incomplete: under the "site policy" there is a heading "shipping
policy", but no text.  Also, when I searched with the site name, the
heading was "coming soon", which sounds like it is not really up and
running.  It seems to be only a site where sellers can advertise their
goods, apparently passing information from buyers to the sellers, who
ship directly.
The concept seems very naive, expecting both sellers and buyers to
trust that they will get money, goods, respectively.

I would not deal with sellerbox.com.
