Question ID: 75150
I have an HP LP1000r server with 2 - 1.4G Intel processors and 2G of
ram. I have 4 - 18G hard drives in a raid 5 configuration. When I run
Citrix Server Administration from the Metaframe Tools I get the
following error:
The title bar reads: mfadmin.exe - Application Error
The body of the message reads: The instruction at "0x0145f477"
referenced memory at "0x00000014". The memory could not be "read".
Click OK to terminate the application.

This message does not come up every time I run Citrix Server
Administration, but it may come up 5-10 times in a row before I
finally get into the tool. I get the error when running it from the
console or remotely.

What version of the NT Service Pack is installed on the OS? Also, is
the Metaframe installation up to date on all application Service Pack
and Hotfix releases?

Try putting in different RAM into the comptuer and then see if problem
still continues.

"The memory could not be 'read'"

This could be caused by a a file extension that contains more than 260
characters to the right of the period. The buffer overfills and causes
the error message to occur.

Run the Post SP6 Security Rollup. That may fix your issue.
