Question ID: 751678
Are there any plans to make movies of the Agent Pendergast novels
(Brimstone, Reliquary, Still life with the Crows, Dance of Death,
Cabinent of Curiosities, Book of the Dead etc. by Douglas Preston and
Lincoln Child)? Have the film rights to any of the Agent Pendergast
novels been picked up by any movie studios? If so which one.

Also the movie "The Relic" does not count as it was based on an Agent
Pendergast novel, but lacked Agent Pendergast!

Tip for this question will be $5

I certainly agree that the movie "The Relic" doesn't count. What were
they thinking?

I wish I had better news, but as far as I've been able to determine,
the only Preston/Child book other than "Relic" that has been optioned
for movie development is "Riptide," which is not an Agent Pendergast
novel.

"Film rights optioned by Arnold Kopelson; foreign rights sold in eight countries...

"Movie rights have already been optioned by Twentieth Century Fox, and
foreign rights have been sold to eight countries."

Amazon: Riptide
