Topic: Best way to sell a registered service mark (with domain names).
I own a service mark which is federally protected in two categories:
37, which is roughly for telephones, facsimiles, and networks; and 42,
which is roughly for computers and networks and the consulting
thereof.
The mark itself is a euphonic, three syllable, nine letter "word" of
Greek etymological origins. It is in fact technically a word but not
a common word like "windows". I have owned it since 1996. Let's
simply use "aileron", which is not the mark, as an example.
I own aileron the mark in the two above categories.
I own the seven domains for aileron: aileron.com, org, net, us, info, biz, ws.
I own the use of aileron in the ikeyword registry.
My question is: how do I best sell and market this package? Are there
brokers out there who would be interested? Can I do it myself on
ebay/craigslist? What is such a package worth? What are the legal
pitfalls in negotiating a successful sale/transfer? |
