HELP!! ME AGAIN...I'M GETTING CLOSER...TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE...I'm stumped on a clues to a hunt, I know the wording is bizzare, as you can see, besides the obvious number reference there are other hidden meanings in some of the words. (Like half of piano) I cannot figure this missing link out...maybe you can? I'm looking for an answer in numbers, I need 3 numbers for the combo lock, which only goes up to number 39......THANK YOU... the story goes.... I knock on the door, and those beady eyes are looking me over pretty good. ".....43 bottles of beer on the wall, 43 bottles of beer....." That's it. One more verse out of that ivory tickler and I'll bust this piano in half. And you know what that'll leave him. "I'll let you in if you can tell me the square root of happiness." I was never good at riddles, or very good at math. But then I heard....."pass it around, 42 bottles of beer on the wall....." I give the go ahead: Captain Young and rest of the law are there with a battering ram, knocking the door off the hinges. We're in.....and I settle my score with the singsong man....demonstrating some of that division I picked up in school. | |

If you're wondering why you're not getting bites, it's not the price, we're looking. No hits yet, and the riddle is not ringing a bell with hundreds of people reading it every day here on the site. This is a tough one. |

Here's my guess: 1, 24, 20 Why? 1 = ONE; 24 = 42 'passed around'; 20 = SCORE Can you try these and return for another attempt if they're wrong? Good Luck! Bryan |

If you are allowed unlimited attempts, why not try a 'brute force' attack by testing all possible combinations? |
