Although it is sometimes denigrated as pseudo-science, I've personally
practiced Thought Field Therapy (TFT), a set of techniques created by
Roger Callahan, with excellent success:
http://www.tftrx.com/

A derivative of TFT, promoted by Gary Craig, called Emotional Freedom
Techniques, is also available:
http://www.emofree.com/eftcourse.htm

Both are useful in many situations, but are known to excel in dealing
with phobias of all types.

If this satisfies your interests, let me know and I'll post a formal
answer...

I have SEVERE Claustrophobia, to the point that I can't even close the
bathroom doors on airplanes :(

I've had this condition since I was a child, when my older ( and much
meaner ) sister locked me in a basement closet.

I cannot take elevators or even walk into a windowless room. Just the
thought of it makes me terrified.

While in college, one of my professor's wanted me to try hypnosis, but
when I found out that he would hypnotize me and make me get into an
elevator, I quickly declined the offer.

So going to see "Snakes On A Plane" wouldn't be helpful?
