We have an old Filemaker pro runtime file that was made in version 6. We can convert it to a an fp7 file using Filemaker Pro 8.5 but for some reason, it appears to have a password that doesn't allow us to see the data or import the data into a new database. Looking for someone who can either help us access the data and/or provide us with a method of accessing the data. The question is considered answered when we have the old data. |

Hello dbdeveloper, To access the password, all you need is a password recovery tool. The cheapest one available for Filemaker Pro that I could find, that comes with a 30 day back money guaruntee is here: http://www.intelore.com/filemaker-password-recovery.php You can download a demo of the product here that will tell you whether or not it will work here: http://www.intelore.com/filemaker/filemaker-password-recovery.exe (it will give you the partial password, which will either trigger the full password from memory, or will provide you with confirmation that the file is intact and it is worth the full version). Remember there is a 30 day money back guarantee. Good luck! Let me know if this doesn?t work and I will do my best to further assist you. tisme-ga | |

Is this wanted to be done on Macintosh or some version of Windows? Or doesn't it matter? |

You could try a password cracking service or program: http://www.pwcrack.com/filemaker.shtml http://www.intelore.com/filemaker-password-recovery.php |
