Question ID: 752768
I have a word document that I would like to read on my MS Reader, for Pocket PC.

Does anybody know of a program that converts an ordinary Microsoft
Word document into such a file, so that I can read it on my k-JAM?
Or, better yet, is there a way to convert such a file myself?

As for any programs you suggest, the cheaper the better.

I feel that a K-jam comes with a Word document viewer (Mine did, Make
sure to update the OS from the clubimate website), copy the file
across to your K-Jam and then just open it in the Word Viewer.

Alternatively try this website

http://www.westtek.com/pocketpc/

For my I-mate SP3I mobile phone I use this software and it can open
ANY Word document I throw at it. (It can also do Excel and other
Office formats).

Please let me know if this is right.

Just to let you know, updating the OS on your K-Jam using the Imate
ROM WILL delete all data on the phone (Not the SDram card) so back
everything up.

Thanks for your help.

Actually, the K-Jam DOES have a miniature version of MS Word, which I
can use to read and edit MS Word documents.

But there's another program I use for reading digital books: it's
called "Microsoft Reader" for the PocketPC. This program, unlike the
miniature MS Word, makes reading a book on a laptop as smooth as it
can be. You can simply click to advance the page, you can easily
adjust font size, etc.

So what I'd like to do is read my MS Word document on this MS Reader.
I'm searching for a program that'll convert my MS Word document into a
document that MS reader can display.

I can already display my MS Word document on the K-Jam; I'm just
looking for a more seamless way of doing so.

Hello gnossie-ga,

I went through a phase where I was a Microsoft Reader fan myself, but
then I discovered audiobooks (through audible).

I do remember doing this myself though. Here is the free tool from
Microsoft to do the conversions:
