How to activate workgroup in window 2000. Somehow workgroup under the
name change in Network in System among Control panel in my window 2000
has been deactivated. I need to activate this workgroup so that I can
change the name of workgroup in order to make the same name with that
of the workgroup in window xp computer which I am using seperately.
The purpose is to share a printer through window 2000 computer and
window xp compute which I have. |

Hi,
Is your computer set to use a domain instead of a workgroup?
This is the procedure to follow:
1. Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop, and then click Properties.
2. On the Network Identification tab, click Properties.
3. Under Members, click the Workgroup option, and then type the name
of the workgroup.
4. Click OK.
5. Click OK again.
6. Restart your computer when you are prompted to do so.

Can you post a screenshot of the screen/menu where you have a problem?
Thanks.

Hello, endo-ga
I tried your procedure already, but it had not worked, because the
workgroup option was inactivated and could not be clicked at all.
Hello, Keystroke-ga,
I trid your way too before, and it did not work.
