Which US states are most heavily populated by Evangelical Christians?

Does this meet your needs?

"The state with the highest percentage of adults who are evangelical
is Alabama (at 13%, nearly double the national average). Its polar
opposite ? i.e., the state with the lowest incidence of evangelicals ?
is Connecticut.

Taking into account each state?s aggregate adult population, the area
with the greatest number of evangelicals is California, which is home
to nearly two million of them. Connecticut retains the bragging rights
to having the fewest adults who are evangelical, with just 26,000 of
them in a state of more than two and a half million adults."

that was helpful any ideas on where i could find a list of Evangelical
christian churches in these states?

The National Association of Evangelicals has sixty member
denominations. Listing all churches which are affiliated with these
sixty denominations would be a monumental task. In addition, there are
many nondenominational churches whose congregations are of an
evangelical turn of mind.

If the links which I posted above would be fully satisfactory, I'll be
glad to repost them as your official answer. If additional material is
needed in order to provide full satisfaction, I'll leave the question
unanswered in the hope that another Researcher may want to gather more
material for you.

I have reposted the links below.

Dear dinterested,

This is only an opinion, you don't have to listen to me. However, your
original question was about the states with the most "Evangelical"
population and Pinkfreud has given you links that in fact answer that
question. Pinkfreud hasn't posted that yet as an answer - and hasn't
gotten paid for the Research done for you.

Now you have a brand new question, and I recommend that you'll post it
as a new question, with new, appropriate, pricing; and that you'll
tell Pinkfreud to post the Research as an answer.
