Please give me any or all definitions for the word "balon". I have
absolutely no clue what this word means, although it's probabally from
fiction, and thus not an actual word used in the english language. I
have a feeling its a videogame character, or from a videogame or a
movie (also try anime). Its also a possibility that its from a book,
mostly likely teenage sci-fi, such as the Merlin series.

Hi top19,

Balon is a word in Spanish, balón:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Spanish_words_of_Germanic_origin
"balón= a large ball: from Italian ballone, pallone, balla (see bala
above) + -one, an augmentive suffix, related to and possibly the
source of Spanish -ón (in balón)."

It's possible that you're thinking of the "Arthur, King of Time and
Space" webcomic, which features many similar-sounding names to balon:

"Balin: A loyal, well-meaning, and utterly idiotic knight. Balin only
appears in the fairy-tale atc, where, in addition to the situations he
gets himself into in the Morte d'Arthur, he is also responsible for
the banishment of all children who might be Mordred, based on
overhearing Arthur and Merlin discussing what they shouldn't do.
Shortly afterwards he and his brother Balan killed each other by
mistake (as in the legends). As well as Balan, his other brothers in
the strip include Balen, Balon, Balun, Balyn and Balwn."

Balon is a character name in an anime called "Dirty Pair Flash."

http://www.absoluteanime.com/dirty_pair_flash/balon.htm

"Leader of the special forces team sent by Waldess to retrieve the
stolen data card, Balon was a handsome young man with premature,
shoulder-length gray hair. Along with Zak and three others (A, B, and
C), Balon tangled with Kei and Yuri to try and steal back the card
(the previous W.W.W.A. agent that had stolen it had been killed by
Balon and his team), but they ultimately failed and were arrested.

Later, however, Balon and Zak and the other three apparantly got out
of jail, as they were sent by Waldess to kill the comatose Professor
Kapps before he could recover and testify against G.C.N. Once again,
they failed, and were arrested a second time, and were never seen
again."

Balon's kin, who shall prevail? Euron, his proud and godless brother;
the fearless, dutiful Victarion; or Asha, the Kraken's bold and

Would you play soccer with a balon? Is it that type of ball?

top19,

Yes, I believe that a "balón" in Spanish would refer to a soccer-type
ball, which is called "futbol" in Spanish.

Here is a site that lists soccer balls for sale, calling them balóns.
