Question ID: 75398
I am looking for an LCD module that is around 8-12 lines by 80
verticle lines that emulates a VT100 Terminal. Like a Wyse Terminal.
Needs to be a manufactured component, and not a kit or bench project.

Hi droptheticket...

In order for it to 'emulate VT100'
that means it would have to be some
sort of semi-intelligent 'dumb terminal',
correct?

By it not being a kit or bench project,
what are you expecting? Just 1 cable
from it to go to the terminal output
(networkable?) and a power source in,
housed in a manufactured case?

Is this something like you are looking
for, but in a 8+ line config?

Yes...I am looking for an LCD module...no case or plastic...that I can
introduce into a current design that uses a Wyse 35 Terminal. I
currently only need the Ack command, so I can remote out a button for
that.

I saw that unit you linked me to...I dont think thats going to do it.

I dont even need a power source, just a cable to the terminal
output...non-networkable...similar to

but this may not be it either...I am still trying to find out...thanks
