Question ID: 754309
Ive Mobile 5 on a new PDA with wireless. I write in Visual.net. I need
the PDA to synchronise automatically with a database on the server.
The server is running Windows2000. It is not running Seq Server. The
application is written on the PDA but cannot see in VB.net how to get
Mobile 5 to communicate wireless to server. We just need to
synchronise a database file (MDB preferred over SDF)

To simplify...
I dont want to use Activesync as I don't think wireless is supported
on Mobile 5 - or is it ?
I just need my database file (which is a SDF file at present)
automatically synchronised with its shadow on the server.
We can create a database file on the server.

We don't really want to add Sequel Server on the server due to its cost.

If we update the database on the server then the PDA database is updated.
We can write in VB.net but cannot see how this seemingly task is achieved.

We would prefer to keep everything in MDB but the Mobile 5 seems to
create SDF database files.

I'm not asking for code to be written just what tools we need and some pointers.

Thanks

John
