Hey Bobbie, I am looking for some websites like this www.scriptlance.com for another field. Scriptlance is a great resource for technical people looking to get contracts for work. I want to see if there are any sites out there where there is a similar type of marketplace for contracts for inside sales cold calling workers. I have a friend who is in serious need of finding something, so I thought I could help her this way. Thank you! Kyle | |

I just wanted to make a comment in regard to a previous question from the_tree, namely number 753746: In regard to the wealthiest zip codes in the U.S., I believe the information provided by bobbie7-ga (whose work I in no way wish to impugn) is based on total income for that zip code and not per capita income. Now this might have been exactly what you were looking for; if that's the case, look no further. I just wanted to point out that the zip codes listed, unless I am sorely mistaken, do not necessarily contain the wealthiest individuals. See: http://wealth.mongabay.com/tables/100_wealthiest_zip_codes-1000.html. I just thought this might affect whatever you might be using the information for. Have a good day. |

My answer regarding the wealthiest zip codes by State is based on IRS figures for Adjusted Gross Income. For example http://wealth.mongabay.com/tables/100_income_zip_codes.html |

bobbie7, I wasn't implying that your answer was incorrect, I was just trying to indicate that the wealthiest zip codes might not have the wealthiest people in them. For instance, 29402 in South Carolina appears in the link you mentioned: http://wealth.mongabay.com/tables/100_income_zip_codes.html but not in your list of the top 5 in the state in your answer. Like I said, I think it's the difference between total income and per capita income - fewer wealthier residents versus a greater number of less wealthy residents. I just thought I'd mention it because it could be the difference between finding a zip code with a lot of "buying power" versus finding one with people with a large amount of disposable income. Am I totally off the wall here? I do hope this makes sense. Sorry to be a bother. Have a good day. |

Thither, I understand what you mean. The zip codes in my answer are ALL based on "IRS" figures for Adjusted Gross Income. I did not use the Mongabay list for my answer. http://wealth.mongabay.com/tables/100_income_zip_codes.html ( I just posted it as an example to show that Adjusted Gross Income can be used to rank wealthiest zip codes.) From the IRS website Download South Carolina data here: http://www.irs.gov/taxstats/indtaxstats/article/0,,id=96947,00.html Direct link http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-soi/01zp41sc.xls See column E (Adjusted Gross Income) I listed the five zip codes with the highest Adjusted Gross Income. |

bobbie7 - Last comment on this issue - it was my fault for trying to bring up a probably irrelevant distinction anyway (and divert you from actually earning money!): "See column E (Adjusted Gross Income) I listed the five zip codes with the highest Adjusted Gross Income." Yes, this is what you did. What this essentially means is (I believe) that you have ranked the top five zip codes in TOTAL amount of income for residents. They are not, however, ranked in terms of average income per resident. Take zip 29732 - $ 938,390,000 in total income across 19051 returns. and zip 29402 - $ 61,263,000 in total income across 440 returns. Zip 29732 brought in more total money but zip 29402 averaged more money per individual return. The people in 29402, on average, make almost 3 times what the people in 29732 make. 29732 is wealthier but you'd probably find the richest people in 29402. Have a good day. |

I agree with thither's point that the figures can be misleading-- while the wealthiest zip codes might point you to very wealthy people, they might not lead you to the wealthiest. I had wondered about the figures cited in the zip code answer, as a friend lives in the second wealthiest town in New Jersey (I've read many studies listing this town as the second-wealthiest) and it did not appear in the top five in New Jersey. However, I am sure that this town, in which I would estimate that 95 percent of people are millionaires, has to be one of the top five. Perhaps a few millionaires have moved out, I thought. However, upon further reflection, I realized that this town shares a post office with the neighboring town-- and they thus share a zip code. The neighboring town, while well-off, has wealth nothing like my friend's town. The neighboring town was pulling down the numbers and causing the first town to not appear as one of the wealthiest! While it is probably rare for a wealthy town to not have a post office, there might be some other examples. The zip code equation might not equate to the wealthiest towns. |

Places ranked by per capita income for each State might work. Alabama http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alabama_locations_by_per_capita_income Alaska http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alaska_locations_by_per_capita_income Links to each State can be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richest_counties_in_the_United_States |
